Latin!
by Stephen Fry

amo, amas, an awful mess...

We were honoured when Stephen Fry gave us his blessing to revive Latin!, perhaps the most outrageous work of an always colourful career. This highly original play, in which the audience are at one moment regaled as naughty schoolboys, at the next eavesdroppers to very private conversations, upends that most backwardly British of establishments, the public school. Our acclaimed revival played seven venues around the UK during 2002 and 2003, including a three-week run-out at London’s King’s Head. Along the way the production became the centre of a media storm after the Tories tried to score a few cheap points by calling for it to be banned.
